KVC Academy serves students in grades K–12 across Missouri who benefit from specialized educational and therapeutic support. Our campuses provide individualized learning experiences designed to support academic, social and emotional growth.

Through small class sizes, personalized instruction and evidence-based practices, KVC Academy helps students build confidence, develop skills and reach their goals. We support students with autism, emotional or behavioral challenges, communication disorders or cognitive delays, providing the tools and resources they need to succeed in school and beyond.

2001 | Action Youth Care becomes KVC West Virginia

Action Youth Care officially joined the KVC family, launching a dedicated chapter to provide high-quality foster care, adoption, and behavioral healthcare services tailored specifically to the needs of West Virginia families.

2006 | KVC launches Matching Families software

Innovation met compassion with the rollout of our specialized matching software. This tool revolutionized how we connect children in foster care with the families best equipped to support their unique needs, stability, and long-term success.

2011 | Erin Keltner joins KVC West Virginia leadership path

Strengthening our roots from within, key clinical leaders stepped up to guide our mission. This era marked a massive expansion of evidence-based trauma treatment and specialized training for our frontline staff.

2016 | Expanding the Safety Net: Wraparound Services

Recognizing that healing happens best in communities, KVC expanded its intensive in-home services and wraparound support. By meeting families right where they are, we prevented disruption and kept more children safely connected to their roots.
